Renew Fest, Mullumbimby

I photographed Renew Fest in Mullumbimby last May. It was a beautiful event over two days. It showcased specialists in environmental matters from all around Australia.

The local community from the Byron Shire as well as people from further away came to listen and celebrate Planet Earth for the week-end at the Mullumbimby show ground.

There was a strong sense of community. The event had attendees from all generations. While the adults were involved with lectures and workshops; the young ones were beautifully entertained in the kids area.

The people of Bundjalung were also involved in the festival. Indigenous culture was ever present and included ceremonies and dances.  Some of their art was also exhibited.

To spice up the festival there was also live music and live performers.

It was a very well curated and meaningful event. I would highly recommend to anyone the next edition!

Enjoy the viewing and contact me for your own photography project.
