First of all let’s get in touch to choose a beautiful spot, where the water is clear. Here are for example some photographs showing a session at Cloud 9 with its pristine water. In Fiji by Malolo island you can also find some beautiful spots with reef and coral beds. In the Yasawas you will be blown away by the number of tropical fish.

For optimum results I would recommend choosing a sunny time of day as the deeper you go, the darker it gets.

You can just bring your swimwear or I recommend floating material for women like a dress, or just a beautiful piece of fabric. White and red work really well. Avoid blue or you will be less visible. Be aware that you will be much heavier wearing clothes so if you are not a good swimmer let

me know and we simply will do the photoshoot somewhere shallow. Feel free to bring some hair pieces. Avoid anything with brand (logo) on it or stripe : best for plain clothes. Please be aware that the salt water may damage your clothes.

Now that you are all ready to go let’s think about your poses : arms along the body. 

• If you choose to close your eyes don’t squint too hard : closing your eyes gently will work better. Don’t open your mouth (if you are kissing do it mouth closed!). Keep the bubbles for the very last second and don’t keep the air in your cheeks but keep it in your lungs.

• Better to be horizontal not vertical (but vertical can work if you are a strong swimmer)

• For Women it looks very elegant when they use “dancer / mermaid” position : such as one leg folded, feet pointing, arching back…

• If you wear a dress the low cut may become more low cut with the weight of the wet dress so wear a skin color bra (or no bra but it may be transparent) and shorten the straps (with safety pins for example)

• Be relaxed : no pressure, no panicking. I will give you some directions and we will do the same things a few times.

• Make sure your clothes are made of light fabric (such as synthetic, nylon, chiffon but a big no to velvet or cotton) or it will be too difficult to swim and move which could be dangerous.
